Celebrating the the anniversary of Francis Ford Coppola's visionary war epic adaptation of "Heart of Darkness" novel by Joseph Conrad which had it's own cursed pre-production under Orson Welles. The curse follows Coppola's production after he adapts it to a Vietnam backdrop most notably firing Harvey Keitel after principal photography has already started, and replaces him with Martin Sheen. Sheen later has a heart attack during production delaying it once again. Willard is recruited by the CIA to "terminate with extreme prejudice" decorated Green Beret Colonel Kurtz who has gone rogue taking control of a small native population. Willard's journey down river over the border outside the justified war zone proves a descent into madness representing the hypocrisy of this conflict in a character based period piece.
